History

I’m a Buffalo native, born and raised in the suburb of Orchard Park. I’m also a Bills fan, and I credit my resilient character to the many years of heartbreak and disappointment they’ve provided me. But hey, there’s always next year!

Growing up, football was a large part of my life, from my pee wee days through varsity ball. I also played tennis but have since retired because of my deteriorating performance. RIP glory days.

My current pastime of choice is fishing, specifically fly fishing. I’m generally able to fish year round, from smallmouth in the spring to carp in the summer to trout and salmon in the fall. The worst are the winters when the streams freeze over and I’m left housebound. Oh, and I hate ice fishing so don’t ask me to take you.

I attended SUNY Buffalo and received my BS in chemical engineering way back in May 2016. I then went on to grad school in Boston and earned my master’s. After, I spent around 3.5 years working in industry as a chemical process engineer before committing to Northwestern to pursue my PhD.

You’ll find a plethora of content on my site. Not sure how far this will go or for how long I’ll continue to make updates. This project was born out of boredom from the COVID-19 quarantine. I guess time will tell.
